1. What season/month would you like your wedding to be?
2. What colour(s) theme would you like?
3. What location would you hold it (city/indoors/outdoors)?
4. Check out my Pinterest boards of "bouquet examples" and "categories" and tell me, what kind of bouquet shape you'd like and what type of flowers you might want?
Response from "Client A":
1. Summer, August/September 2. Magenta & Gold 3. Vancouver indoors 4. Round bouquet with hydrangea, roses & blossoms My analysis of "Client A" request: The florals requested don't come in magenta or gold. As alternatives, other florals will have to be used. Follow-up is necessary for a redesign in the bouquet. Response from "Client B": 1. Spring/Summer, May/June or Summer/Fall, September 2. Cobalt Blue, Purple & Pink (as a gradient) or Dusty Blue, Rose with Gold Accents (vintage) 3. Vancouver lesser known parks or Tropical destination 4. Pageant/Crescent bouquet with either orchids or peonies (not together) My analysis of "Client B" request: Peonies are only available a short time in late spring, early summer (around April/May). So currently for this project I won't be able to supply that request. However, because orchids are tropical plants, they will generally be available all year. I decided to work with Client B's first colour choice, with the bold cobalt, purple and pink, since the floral shop seemed to filled with more purple varieties. I went to "Wholesale Flowers and Supplies" on 5305 Metro St, San Diego, CA 92110; about 15 minutes away with no traffic. This summer, I would like to explore "San Diego Wholesale Flowers & Wedding Florist" on 1205 Aviara Pkwy, Carlsbad, CA 92011; about 22 minutes away without traffic.

Response from "Client C":
1. Winter, January/February 2. Whites, Ivory, Light Blues, Pale Pinks 3. Outdoor Cottage/Ski Resort 4. Tear drop bouquet with hydrangeas, roses, baby's breath My analysis of "Client C" request: The roses available in the paler tones were not optimal, so for the sake of this project, I decided not to waste money on flowers that weren't going to last. |

The total cost came out a bit over than I had wanted. Although, it was within a budget I was comfortable with, which was below $50. What I ended up getting was a set of 25 magenta roses, violet delphinium, vines, purple gradient calla lilies, and a mix bundle of orchids including magenta coloured.

Next time, for a pageant/crescent bouquet, I'm going to have to think of lighter flowers and fewer stems. For fuller bouquets like cascades, I would have to definitely use a floral bouquet holder, that way, the flowers could be angled easily, and it won't be too heavy to hold. The images at the top of the post is the end result. I also created two types of boutonnieres. Some of the additional blooms I used were from the plants growing around my building. Let's see what my client's response is and let's see how long my bouquet will last in water, OUTSIDE of the fridge.
